Education system in USA

Semester System:

Assistantships in USA:

Assistantships in the USA are grants that provide financial support for students while they assist professors in various capacities. Common types include Teaching Assistantships (TA), Research Assistantships (RA), and Graduate Assistantships (GA).

 

Teaching Assistantship (TA):

TA roles involve assisting professors in tasks beyond classroom instruction, such as student support, assignment grading, and administrative duties. While some universities offer full tuition waivers, typical monthly compensation ranges from $550 to $1200, contingent on workload and performance.

 

Research Assistantship (RA):

RAs aid professors in their research endeavours, lightening their workload. Funded by university resources or external sponsors, these positions require application during the initial university application process. Monthly earnings vary from $500 to $1500, based on subject and weekly commitment of 10 to 20 hours.

 

Graduate Assistantship (GA):

F1 Student Visa:

The F-1 Visa facilitates international students pursuing full-time academic programs in accredited institutions. MBA candidates should aim for GMAT scores of 500 and above. Undergraduate applicants usually require a high school GPA (preferably 65% and above), SAT scores (preferably 1200 and above), and IELTS scores of 6 bands overall or higher.
